Membership in NSWMA is open to for-profit entities doing business in North America that collect, transport, store, transfer, treat, recycle or dispose of waste, whether municipal, commercial, industrial, medical, special or hazardous, and to firms that provide professional services including, but not limited to, legal, technical or financial to the waste management industry.

Membership in NSWMA provides companies with a strong voice on issues affecting the solid, hazardous and medical waste industry.   NSWMA members work together with professional staff who are in constant contact with governmental authorities that regulate the waste industry. 

NSWMA membership benefits covered by dues include state and federal representation on industry issues, state Chapter participation, information and educational opportunities, regional and national newsletters, access to technical experts, discounts on industry trade show and publications.

Participation/information targeted to specific business interests is available for an additional fee.
